  2. वातावरण में घुली हुई हानिकारक हवा और धूल मिट्टी से वायु प्रदूषण की समस्या बढ़ती चली जा रही है।
  3. लगातार होने वाले वायु प्रदूषण के माध्यम से ह्रदय रोग, श्वसन रोग, त्वचा रोग और आंखों के रोग होने की समस्या उत्पन्न हो रही है।
  4. डब्ल्यूएचओ की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार प्रतिवर्ष 2 से 4 लाख लोगों की मौत वायु प्रदूषण की वजह से होती है।
  5. वायु प्रदूषण मुख्य रूप से कार्बनडाई आक्साइड, कार्बनमोनो ऑक्साइड, सल्फरडाइ ऑक्साइड जैसे गैसों के अधिक उत्सर्जन की वजह से होने लगता है।
  6. सामान्य रूप से देखा जाता है कि घरों, कारखानों में फ्रिज और एयर कंडीशनर के कारण अधिक मात्रा में क्लोरो फ्लोरो कार्बन गैस का उत्सर्जन होता है और यह भी वायु प्रदूषण का मुख्य कारण होता है।
  7. वायु प्रदूषण के लिए हम मनुष्य भी सबसे ज्यादा जिम्मेदार हैं, जिन्होंने पर्यावरण के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारी समझते हुए भी स्वार्थवश पर्यावरण को प्रदूषित किया है।
  8. वायु प्रदूषण का गहरा प्रभाव बच्चों पर भी देखा गया है, जहां उनमें अस्थमा, निमोनिया और दूसरी स्वास्थ्य संबंधी परेशानियां विकसित होती नजर आ रही हैं।
  9. ऐसे में नियमित रूप से वायु प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए कम से कम वाहनों का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए, जिसमें इलेक्ट्रिक और सार्वजनिक वाहनों का इस्तेमाल करना ज्यादा उपयोगी होगा।
  10. वायु प्रदूषण से बचने के लिए सौर ऊर्जा का इस्तेमाल करना भी कारगर उपाय साबित हो सकता है, जो पर्यावरण के नुकसान से भी हमें बचाएगा।

  1. यदि अपने घरों के आसपास या खाली जगह पर पेड़ लगाए जाएं, तो इससे भी वायु प्रदूषण से बचाव हो सकता है।
  2. जो भी वाहनों का उपयोग हम करते हैं, उनमें सीसा रहित पेट्रोल का उपयोग करना चाहिए, ताकि वायु प्रदूषण को कुछ हद तक कम किया जा सके।
  3. रेल यातायात को भी कोयले से चलने वाले इंजनों के स्थान पर विद्युत इंजनों का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए।
  4. कारखानों की चिमनी की ऊंचाइयों को और भी ज्यादा बढ़ा देना चाहिए, जिससे आसपास के स्थान कम से कम प्रदूषित हो सके।
  5. इसके अलावा रासायनिक उर्वरक एवं कीटनाशक का संतुलित उपयोग करते रहना चाहिए, ताकि वायु प्रदूषण को कम किया जा सके।
